diaper salesmen, take note

By Phil Lawler ( bio - articles - email ) | Sep 24, 2007

A CWN reader sent this story about a very busy extended family.

They're only doing what comes naturally, but they're doing it with style-- and a key ingredient, a healthy sense of humor-- and this clip from a local TV newscast is worth many thousands of pro-life bumper stickers.

It's also an antidote to the Monday-morning blahs. Enjoy.

Diogenes et al, The Apostolic Visitation has created a stir for the sisters/nuns in the LCWR camp, but not so much for the sisters/nuns in the CMSWR camp... in fact the CMSWR sisters/nuns welcome the Visitation.... Hmmm, I wonder why? Maybe a look at their websites tells it all, as the pictures are worth more than words can tell. Check out www.LCWR.org and then look at www.CMSWR.org

I think if I were a novitiate who actually yearned for daily Mass, I would not have returned after my first visit with the Sisters, probably an indication why their orders are dying out. Funny that Sr. Ferder describe the Visitation of the Blessed Mother in terms of energy and sparks of power and not in terms of the Holy Spirit.

Sr. Ferder is still wrecking potential soul abuse throughout the world. As is cited on her frequent traveling partner's brother's blog, she and Fr. John Heagle have just returned from Bangladesh http://travelins.blogspot.com/2009/12/great-news-from-my-brother-john.html. Also not surprising is that both Fr. John Heagle and Sr. Ferder have signed onto the "What if we just said wait" petition: http://www.whatifwejustsaidwait.org/readcomments.htm. God have mercy on their souls and ours!

I'm a lay person. I have to undergo an annual vistition(performance evaluation). My department has to undergo frequent visitations(audits). The bottom line is if you act on behalf of someone else or receive benefits and privileges from them, you are accountable to them. Religious orders both act on behalf of and receive benefits from the church. It is reasonable that they be held accountable by the Church. If you don't like accountability join a private association not a religious order.

Just as the Corinthians had reason to fear the threatened Apostolic Visitation from Paul, what the carnal apostates of the LCWR rightly fear is that qualifier "Apostolic" and its implied rod of correction for the recalcitrant. Sadly, they continue to demonstrate they lack of the graces of humility and repentance needed to make the changes the Corinthians made voluntarily.
