Suppose you're a priest of the Oblates of St. Francis de Sales. Ordained in 1967, you serve as pastor of a large parish (3,100 families) in the Diocese of Arlington. In this interview, your tout the parish as "very inclusive. The welcome includes those who are a different age, of different nationalities or people who are in a stage of remembering, meaning returning to the Church." You're also a member of the board of directors of Support Our Aging Religious.

You have $500 in your pocket, and mindful of your vow of poverty, are inspired to give it away. To whom, or what, do you direct your alms?

(a) to a pro-life organization that seeks to make the culture more inclusive and welcoming toward the unborn

(b) to our aging religious

(c) to the Democratic National Committee Services Corporation.

If you're Father Robert Brown, O.S.F.S., pastor of St. John Neumann Church in Reston, your answer is (c).
