Quite a few people have told me their celebration of Advent has been enhanced by the O Antiphons, which they learned about from Jennifer Gregory Miller.

So I consider it a good thing that, as Jennifer wrote today, she is “interrupting her Jesse Tree posts because the O Antiphons begin tomorrow.” See Beginning the O Antiphons.

Even better, we realize that the O Antiphons are best sung. Happily, Thomas Van can recommend just what we need. See A unique Advent/Christmas album sets the O Antiphons to music.

What has struck me most this week is the public erosion of Christian Faith in Advent, at a time when it should be growing. At least, that’s what I've been writing about:
