This is a good time to regain our spiritual focus, especially in such a divisive period of Church history.

One way to put stress on hold is to recognize Three things the Pope can't say. Phil Lawler makes it simple and concrete. (Some other writers here can get a little abstract at times....)

I am suggesting peace and solace from a different source, however. Advent, as we prepare to welcome the newborn Christ, is the perfect time to be with Mary. See Sing of Mary, 4: Everything there is to know about the Mother of God.
