There has been something of a furor in Catholic circles since Pope Francis affirmed that the bishops of Argentina were correct in their interpretation of his apostolic exhortation, Amoris Laetitia.

Unfortunately, some have taken all this to mean that the Pope has become a heretic. This reveals a dangerous theological ignorance. I explain (again!) in Not heretical: Pope Francis’ approval of the Argentine bishops’ policy on invalid marriages.
