I do not have much fresh commentary for you yet this week. Phil Lawler is just back from two weeks overseas, and I tried to upgrade the operating system on my computer yesterday with disastrous results! I suspect we've all been there (and I don't mean overseas).

But we are pleased to call attention to the new “Vatican” cookbook, which is being distributed in the United States by Sophia Institute Press. See Jennifer Gregory Miller's colorful review: The Pontifical Swiss Guard's Vatican Cookbook: A Family Cookbook.

It is worthy of note that the American bishops find the Obama administration's transgender letter deeply disturbing. In a healthy society, there would be a powerful and immediate movement to impeach President Obama.

There's a petition at that last link, but you can probably guess how widespread the support will be....
