Ethiopian leader says small Muslim sect carried out attacks on Christian churches

The prime minister of Ethiopia, Meles Zenawi, said that a small Islamic sect is responsible for a series of arson attacks on Christian churches.
Meles said that the Kawarja sect “and other extremists” were guilty of provoking attacks on about 50 churches. He said that government was working to stem the violence.
