Ambassador warns of worsening food crisis
January 14, 2011
Australia’s ambassador to the Holy See, warned of a worsening world food crisis in a January 13 interview with Vatican Radio. Record food prices have led to riots in several nations.
“Deep poverty engendered by the shortage of food in so many parts of the world today, which looks like its getting a whole lot worse, will represent a threat to religious freedom, to economic well-being, to political stability in the world, to peace in the world,” said Timothy Fischer.
