‘America’s Next Top Model’ candidate becomes chastity speaker

CWN - January 13, 2011

The National Catholic Register has profiled Leah Darrow, who pursued a modeling career after becoming one of 14 women who appeared on the “America’s Next Top Model” reality television show. After she felt God show her the emptiness of her soul on the day of judgment, Darrow, a cradle Catholic, abandoned her career to become a chastity speaker.

“Today, in the United States, I would venture to say that we have more poor than Calcutta; we have the poor in spirit,” she says on her web site. “I can say from personal experience that as I laid in the gutter of sin, the only difference between myself and the soul dying in the streets of Calcutta what that at least they knew they were dying, for I was not even aware of my own spiritual death. This is the most tragic of situations, when our culture prefers the gutter, encourages the gutter, and at the same time ignores those in the gutter of sin.”
