Discovery Channel to air series on exorcisms, claims Vatican cooperation
CWN - January 06, 2011
The Discovery Channel will air a series entitled “The Exorcist Files” that re-enacts exorcisms conducted by priests.
The network claims that it secured the Vatican’s cooperation with the series. “The project includes access into the Vatican’s case files, as well as interviews with the organization’s top exorcists,” according to a report on the CNN web site.
“The Vatican is an extraordinarily hard place to get access to, but we explained we’re not going to try to tell people what to think,” said the president of the Discovery Channel. “The work these folks do, and their conviction in their beliefs, make for fascinating stories.”
