Ahmadinejad sends Christmas greetings to Pope

Iran’s President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has sent Christmas greetings to Pope Benedict XVI.
The Iranian leader—who has made several efforts to gain diplomatic support from the Holy See—offered his “congratulations on the anniversary of the birthday of Jesus,” and best wishes for a peaceful 2011. Ahmadinejad sent similar messages to he heads of Christian states, the Iranian news service reported.
