Washington Post foresees more states testing abortion law

When the Supreme Court upheld a ban on partial-birth abortions, the Washington Post notes, pro-life activists saw opportunities for other sorts of state legislation that would protect both mothers and unborn babies. The Post report suggests that this is a surprising development, although it's been underway for years now. The question being posed-- not by the Post, certainly, but by state legislators-- is whether abortion should be subject to the same sorts of regulations as any ordinary medical procedures.
