Philippine bishop fears military coup
CWN - December 24, 2010
A Philippine prelate is warning of the possibility of a military coup d’etat following the plea bargain release of a general who had been charged with corruption.
“I don’t want it to happen, but that’s a possibility,” said Auxiliary Bishop Jose Colin Bagaforo of Cotabato, warning that some “might take the law into their own hands.”
