Maryland pro-lifers protest as late-term abortion specialist opens clinic
Catholic World News - December 06, 2010
Pro-life activists in Maryland have begun prayerful pickets outside a new clinic in Germantown run by the notorious late-term abortionist LeRoy Carhart.
Carhart relocated his practice from Nebraska after that state enacted new legislation restricting the practice of late-term abortions. He had originally planned to open a new clinic in Iowa, but chose Maryland instead—in part because of the strong public resistance in Iowa, which was encouraged by Bishop Richard Pates of Des Moines.
