Hong Kong diocese seeks action against commercial surrogate motherhood

Father Michael Yeung, the vicar general of the Hong Kong diocese, has called for enforcement of a legal ban on paid surrogate motherhood.
The commercial practice of surrogacy, which is illegal in Hong Kong, has become a hot topic for discussion since a prominent businessman, Peter Lee, became the father of triplets delivered by a surrogate mother in the US.
