Cardinal Bertone leads Vatican delegation to OSCE talks
CWN - November 30, 2010
The Vatican has sent a high-level delegation to participate in the December 1-2 meeting of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE), which is taking place in Astana, Kazakhstan.
Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Secretary of State, heads the Vatican delegation. He is accompanied by Archbishop Dominique Mamberti, the Secretary for Relations with States—the Vatican’s equivalent of a foreign minister. Archbishop Miguel Maury Buendia, the apostolic nuncio in Kazakhstan; and Msgr. Michael Banach, the permanent representative of the Holy See to the OSCE, will also join in the talks.
