Cuban cardinal says more prisoners will be freed

Cardinal Jaime Ortega y Alamino has a “clear promise” from the Cuban government that 11 political prisoners who remain behind bars will soon be released.
Cardinal Ortega-- who helped negotiate the release of a number of political prisoners earlier this year—said that 11 more prisoners, who have refused to accept exile in Spain, will be allowed to remain in Cuba. “I don’t know when,” he said.
