Korean team treats tumors with adult stem cells

Researchers at a Catholic hospital in Seoul, South Korea, have announced major advances in medical research using stems cells taken from adult tissues.
Experiments by the Korean team, led by Jeon Sin-soo, showed success in treating brain tumors in mice, using stem cells derived from umbilical cords. The treatment has not yet been tried on human subjects.
