Largest 40 Days for Life campaign begins

40 Days for Life, the pro-life apostolate characterized by prayer, fasting, and peaceful witness outside abortion facilities, has begun its largest campaign to date. Local campaigns, which will conclude on October 31, are taking place in 238 cities in 46 states and four other nations. 42 bishops have been involved since the apostolate's inception; an estimated 2,811 lives have been saved.
