Bill mandating military abortion services to be revived after November election

After the November election, congressional leaders will revive legislation requiring the US military to offer elective abortions in its military hospitals. The legislation, which was recently blocked in the Senate, contains no conscience protection clause.

“In the military, when you get an order, you follow it,” said Dr. David Stevens, CEO of the Christian Medical and Dental Associations. “It’s very difficult to opt out of the abortion process in a military setting.”
