State budget cuts may close Planned Parenthood abortion clinics in New Jersey
September 23, 2010
Planned Parenthood abortion clinics in New Jersey may be closing down as a result of budget-cutting decisions by Governor Chris Christie.
The New Jersey Senate has upheld Christie’s veto of a bill that would have provided $30 million in public funding for Planned Parenthood operations in the state. An abortion clinic in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is already planning to close its doors as a result of the cut in taxpayer funding; other clinics may soon face the same decision.
