British TV documentary on Pope will be a 'hachet job,' columnist reports
CWN - September 08, 2010
Having seen an advance screening of a British television documentary on Pope Benedict XVI, columnist Damian Thompson of the Daily Telegraph reports that the show is such a heavy-handed attack that it is unlikely to sway viewers’ opinions.
The Channel 4 documentary is scheduled for broadcast on September 13, just before the Pope’s visit to Great Britain. It was prepared under the direction of Peter Tatchell, a prominent gay-rights activist who has expressed sympathy for the notion that the Pope should be arrested for human-rights violations.
