Pope prays for trapped miners in Chile

At his Sunday public audience on August 29, Pope Benedict XVI prayed for the safety of the 33 men trapped in a copper mine in Chile. The Pope said that he was hoping for a “happy outcome” of the drama, as rescue workers plot to release the imprisoned miners in coming weeks.
