Australia will unveil new English translation of Missal in mid-2011
CWN - August 27, 2010
The new English-language translation of the Roman Missal, which will be introduced in the US on the first Sunday of Advent in 2011, will be presented more gradually in Australia, beginning sometime in the middle of next year.
In the US the change to the new translation will be made on one day, and the new Missal will become the only version authorized for use. In Australia the process will be different. A spokesman for the bishops’ conference explains that “we will slowly over a period of time introduce some various parts of the new missal to congregations so that they can accommodate the change.”
