South African bishops decry strike by hospital workers

The Catholic bishops of South Africa have asked striking hospital workers to “examine their own conscience and action seriously,” as a 4-day long strike has restricted access to health care. “We are horrified that care is being denied to the weakest and most vulnerable,” the bishops’ statement said.
