Papal praise for Malta's deceased leader
Catholic World News - August 17, 2010
Pope Benedict XVI has paid tribute to Malta’s former president, Guido de Marco, who died on August 13 at the age of 79.
In a message of condolence, sent in the Pope’s name by Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone, the Vatican Secretary of State, the Pontiff spoke of the Maltese leader’s “clear and constant witness to his faith in Christ in the conduct of political life.”
