Court puts California same-sex marriage ruling on hold

August 17, 2010

The Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has put on hold an August 4 ruling in which a federal court struck down a California law defining marriage as the union of a man and a woman. The appeals court is expected to hear arguments in the case in December.
