Cuban prelate announces: all political prisoners will be freed

The Cuban government plans to release all political prisoners within the next few months, reports Cardinal Jaime Ortega y Alamino of Havana.
Cardinal Ortega, who has played an instrumental in gaining freedom for political prisoners, made his announcement in an address to the annual convention of the Knights of Columbus, where he had accepted the annual Gaudium et Spes award for his leadership.
