Uzbek police raid Christian prayer groups

Authorities in Uzbekistan have been arresting Christians who participate in unauthorized prayer services, releasing them with a fine after short jail terms, the Forum 18 news service reports. Police raids on household prayer sessions—and sometimes on social gatherings of Protestant groups—have been rough, and children have not been spared from the jailings.
