Analyst sees Vatican concessions to Vietnamese government

Vatican journalist Sandro Magister believes that the Vatican, in its bid to strengthen relations with the government of Vietnam, accepted a demand to replace the Archbishop of Hanoi, who had clashed with the regime. Magister believes that the progress toward formal Vatican-Vietnamese diplomatic relations comes with a price.
