Bishop Cordileone explains purpose of Manhattan Declaration
CWN - August 03, 2010
A welcome new initiative, Reclaiming the Culture (the title itself suggests an affinity for the Catholic Culture Project), offers audio interviews with leading Catholic figures engaged in the battle to combat the 'culture of death,' to provide support for marriage and family life, to defend religious freedom. The first offering is an interview with Bishop Salvatore Cordileone, who provides a forceful argument for the Manhattan Declaration.

Faithful orthodox Bishops reclaiming the USCCB is an important first step in reclaiming the Culture. If they are not sufficient in numnber to do so, then they should form a separate Bishops' group that is faithful, in word and in deed, to the Magisterium.
