Louisiana priest admits abuse, may have molested 30 boys

A former priest of the Diocese of Baton Rouge has admitted in an affidavit that he sexually abused boys. Ordained in 1952 as a Redemptorist, Christopher Springer left the order in 1972 and was a priest of the Diocese of Baton Rouge from 1973 to 1985. Springer, who has been accused of abusing more than 30 boys, said in his affidavit this he himself was molested by a priest-- one of his seminary professors-- when he was 12 or 13 years old.
