Sri Lanka: archbishop protests anti-Catholic bias in school texts

Archbishop Albert Malcom Ranjith Patapendige of Colombo, Sri Lanka, has lodged a complaint with the government’s education minister about anti-Catholic bias in the textbooks assigned for history and geography classes. Archbishop Ranjith said that some texts “attempt to instill very insulting and defamatory concepts in the minds of students.”
