Irish bishops seen recovering willingness to speak on public issues

After months on the defensive because of the sex-abuse scandal, the Catholic bishops of Ireland have begun to speak out once again, notes columnist David Quinn, pointing to a statement on same-sex marriage and a pair of sharp rebukes to public figures who made anti-Catholic comments.
