Another Chinese bishop ordained with approval of Holy See, Beijing

Bishop Joseph Han Yingjin was ordained on June 24 to head the Diocese of Shaanxi, China. He was the 4th bishop ordained this year with the approval of both the Vatican and the Beijing government. In a clear sign that the growing cooperation between the “official” and “underground” Catholic communities in China, the episcopal consecration was attended by all of the local Catholic bishops who are in communion with the Holy See.
