St. Vincent de Paul confederation to choose new head

The Confederation of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul opened a general assembly in Salamanca, Spain today, to elect its 15th president. The confederation represents 51,000 conferences of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul from 142 countries, with over 700,000 members and 1.5 million volunteers.
