Malta: bishops remind cohabiting couples to abstain from Communion

The bishops of Malta have issued a reminder that "couples who live together without being married should not receive Holy Communion." The bishops note that this insistence is not intended as a penalty but as a way to emphasize the sanctity of marriage.
