USCCB publishes FAQs on clerical abuse and canon law

The United States Conference of Catholic Bishops has published answers to questions posed by journalists and others about the Code and Canon Law and the sexual abuse of minors. Among the questions addressed are “What happens after the bishop reports the results of the preliminary investigation to the CDF?”, “What does a sexual abuse trial look like when conducted under canon law?”, and “How does dismissal from the clerical state differ from what is called ‘suspension’?”.
