US donors salute Pope Benedict on 83rd birthday
CWN - April 16, 2010
Pope Benedict XVI met with members of the Papal Foundation-- an American group founded to help finance the charitable work of the Holy See-- in a private audience on April 16. "I thank you for your generous efforts," the Holy Father told the donors.
Recognizing that the date was the Pontiff's 83rd birthday, the Papal Foundation provided a cake and the audience sang "Happy Birthday" in greeting the Pope.
