Cardinal Bertone: questions on Murphy case have been answered

Catholic World News - April 07, 2010

Cardinal Tarcisio Bertone has expressed frustration with continued questions about the Vatican's role in the case of Father Lawrence Murphy, the Milwaukee priest who was charged with abusing deaf children in a Wisconsin school. The Vatican Secretary of State denied the charges-- first aired by the New York Times-- that the Congregation for the Doctrine of the Faith halted a canonical trial. "It's not true; we have produced documentary evidence to the contrary," the cardinal said. "Enough! Enough on this subject."
