Israel's travel restrictions hamper Palestinian Christian observances during Holy Week

Palestinian Christians will encounter severe obstacles to their observances of Holy Week and Easter this year. The Israeli government has closed down borders for 9 days, barring most travel from the West Bank into Jerusalem. While some Christians will receive the necessary special permission to enter the city for liturgical celebrations, the Christians in Gaza will not be allowed to travel.
