Papal preacher continues Lenten meditations
CWN - March 05, 2010
Father Raniero Cantalamessa, the preacher of the Pontifical Household, delivered the second of four Lenten sermons on March 5, with Pope Benedict XVI among those in attendance. The Capuchin preacher is organizing his meditations around the theme of the priesthood. The Lenten sermons are delivered on Fridays during Lent, in the Redemptoris Mater chapel of the apostolic palace. This year the schedule was interrupted during the second week of Lent, when the annual retreat for the Roman Curia was being conducted in that chapel. There will be no sermon on Friday, March 19, as the Vatican celebrates the feast of St. Joseph.
