Chinese priest says 'underground' Church works for unity

Responding to reports that the 'underground' and 'official' branches of the Chinese Catholic Church are in conflict, an underground priest explains that he fully respects and cooperates with both Bishop An Shuxin, who surprised many by joining the government-sponsored Patriotic Association; and Cardinal Joseph Zen, who has warned against cooperation with that group. The underground Church, he explains, is committed to reconciliation.
