Australian priest offers support for same-sex parents

An Australian priest has spoken out in support of legislation that would clear the way for same-sex couples to be legally recognized as parents, and allow for surrogate parenting in Queensland. "Our families are different now. They're not just straight mums and dads," said Father Stan Griffiths of Sunshine Coast. His public statement puts him directly at odds with Church teaching
