British Catholic bishop joins anti-nuclear protest

Bishop Thomas McMahon of Brentwood, England has joined in three Anglican bishops in support of a blockade by peace activists at the Aldermaston base of the country's Atomic Weapons Establishment. The bishops are offering their support to the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament-- some of whose members risked arrest in efforts to block entry to the nuclear-weapons facility.

    Did I miss something in the news? Is there now a fear among the four bishops that after 60 years of having nuclear deterrence keep the peace, PM Gordon Brown is itching to push the big red button?
