'Pro-choice' columnist chides abortion advocates for overreacting to Tebow ad

February 11, 2010

Joan Vennochi, a Boston Globe columnist who identifies herself as "pro-choice," writes that the abortion lobby harmed its own cause by seeking to block the Super Bowl broadcast of a pro-life advertisement featuring football star Tim Tebow. The fact that Tebow's mother chose life, and is happy with her choice, is undeniable, Vennochi argues:

No supporter of Roe v. Wade can escape the truth. With one choice, you could end up with a strapping son; with another choice, you don’t.
Demonizing the ad featuring this mother and son doesn’t change that. It only helps their cause.
