Archbishop Roche claims most bishops back suppression of traditional Mass

CWN Editor's Note: The prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship has asserted that most of the world’s bishops support the Vatican’s moves to restriction the traditional Latin Mass.

Archbishop Arthur Roche said that most Catholics would agree on the need for unity in worship. “This is the Mass of the Church,” he said—referring to the Novus Ordo. “This is what the Church has decided, how we express ourselves as a community in worship.”

    I wonder how long it will be before the Vatican commands the Eastern Catholics to "get with the program", to join the "unity" of the Roman rite, to deny the traditions that distinguish themselves from the Orthodox Christians who surround them in their nations of origin.
