Vatican asks US bishops' agency to coordinate Haiti relief effort
CWN - January 19, 2010
The Pontifical Council Cor Unum, the official papal charity, has asked Catholic Relief Services (CRS), the US Catholic relief agency, to coordinate Church efforts in Haiti. CRS, with support from Catholic agencies as well as other Church groups, has now set up 12 sites where food, water, clothing, shelter, and medicine will be available to earthquake victims.
