Propaganda attack on Hanoi archbishop continues

Lengthy stories in the state-controlled media are stimulating a campaign against Archbishop Joseph Ngo Quang Kiet. "People's committees" are issuing warnings against the prelate, reflecting a Communist Party propaganda drive. The Vietnamese bishops have prolonged their annual meetings at Xuan Loc, apparently fearful that the archbishop could be arrested when he returns to Hanoi.
