Gomez , the US Conference of Catholic Bishops’ president, said that the working group recommended that the bishops’ Committee on Doctrine draft a document on “Eucharistic coherence,” “in the hope that it will strengthen an understanding and deepen a common faith in the gift that has been given to us in the Sacrament of the Altar.”

Well, that's going to be an exercise in herding cats. . . . coherence between those like Chaput and Strickland who would deny Holy Communion to Catholic politicians causing public scandal by their pro-abortion speeches & voting record; and spineless bishops who would benightedly allow such sacrilegious communions, because "the Eucharist should not be politicised."
